Marriages between Muslims and non Muslims is prohibited under Islamic law, except in certain limited circumstances. Malaysian Islamic law is even more limited than some other schools of Islamic law. International human rights norms however suggest that the prohibition and criminalisation of interfaith marriage is an unreasonable restriction on the rights of men and women to marry and found a family.

i find that the islamic laws with regards to marriage amusing. lets just say that there comes a day were every muslim lady in the world has been married, and there were muslim who are still bachelors, their law states that they cannot marry a non-muslim, then might as well they turn themselves into eunuchs.

That may happen. The real effect of this law is to criminalize anybody who does not want to convert. It is in effect making the other party who is not converting a criminal.

Yeah, we are screwed. The message I am talking to people who are is to leave the country. I counted that there are 7 friends of mine who is having relationship with Muslims in Malaysia. Muslims are not evil, but these laws infringes on our right for a belief.
